Six Zones at “Hong Kong Pavilion” including the “CTV Zone”, with the theme CTV Colors The World, Promoting GBA Standard
One of the six zones is the “CTV Zone”. Led by the Advanced Printing Technology Centre (APTEC), a subsidiary of The Hong Kong Printers Association (HKPA), the development of “Requirements for Calculation and Application of Color Tone Value (CTV) in Print Workflow” was finalized and it was officially recognized as the first Greater Bay Area standard for the printing industry since 22nd May 2025. To further promote the CTV standard, the HKPA launched the project “Color. Method. Master: GBA ReCreates the World’s Color”, under CCIDA’s funding in 2024, by offering training courses on CTV, and promotion through the participation in the 31st South China International Exhibition on Printing Industry and the 11th China Print, among other activities. The setting up of the “CTV Zone” in the “Hong Kong Pavilion” at 2025 Frankfurt Book Fair brings the promotional efforts to another height.
Another highlight of the “Hong Kong Pavilion” is the new “Publishing 3.0+ Zone”. It promotes the “Publishing 3.0+” project which is organised by InnoContent and sponsored by CCIDA to train large language models (LLMs), with a view to strengthening content transformation, and expanding multilingual translation capabilities of publishing industries. Visitors of the “Hong Kong Pavilion” have expressed huge interest on the project.

The “Creative Corner” brings the “City Walk, Stories Talk” theme to life with an illustrated wall of Illustration, print works, and publications from Hong Kong.
The “Creative Corner” is another highlight of this year’s Hong Kong Pavilion. They are complemented by publications, intricate papercraft models, and illustrations of the city’s iconic structures, e.g. the Hong Kong Palace Museum, M+, Temple Street Archway, Kai Tak Sports Park, and Tai Kwun. Together, the books, illustrations, and papercrafts create a vibrant spectrum of Hong Kong’s cultural identity. The corner invites visitors to read the city, discover the stories behind the prints, and feel the pulse of Hong Kong’s living culture.
Mr. Matthew Yum, Chairman of “Soaring Creativity – Hong Kong Pavilion” Organizing Committee said Hong Kong’s publishing and printing enterprises were eager to submit their outstanding works to the project once they learnt that Hong Kong Pavilion would return to this year’s Frankfurt Book Fair, which is the world’s largest book fair, with this interesting sub-theme.
